Friday Tasting: Wines of the Stellenbosch

Join us this Friday, July 29th from 4:30 to 6:30 for a tasting of Wines from South Africa's Stellenbosch region. Winemaking has a long history in South Africa; although the wines were mediocre for much of that history, when apartheid was lifted in the 1990s, talented winemakers broke free, planted new vines and began producing the good stuff. Today, winemakers in the Stellenbosch are consistently producing highly rated, distinctive wines to compete on the world stage. Chris Kinney will be here to share four terrific examples: Rustenberg Stellenbosch Chardonnay 2008, Raats Family Chenin Blanc 2008, Mulderbosch Faithful Hound 2006, and De Morgenson DMZ Shiraz 2008.
