Friday Tasting: Grenache!
September 19, 2010
Drop by the shop this Friday, September 24th to be a part of the First Annual International Grenache Day tasting! Grenache might be described as “the grape you know, you just don’t know it” – it’s often blended with other varietals, an under-acknowledged player in many delicious wines. Whether on its own or blended with others, it brings luscious fruit, warm spice, balanced acidity and supple tannins to the glass – and pairs happily with a wide variety of foods. Our friend Bonnie Crocker from Domaine Selections will be offering tastes of four: 2008 Capçanes Mas Donis Barrica (Spain), 2008 Domaine de Fenouillet, Ventoux (France), 2008 Yalumba Bush Vine Grenache, Barossa (Australia), and 2008 Morgan Cotes du Crows (California). The tasting is 4;30 to 6:30pm this Friday. Hope to see you here!
