Back to (Cheese) School
September 25, 2010
Now that autumn is officially here, it's time to start offering our classes again. We're pleased as punch to launch this semester with Cheese Science for the Enthusiast, lead by Zoe Brickley on Friday, October 1st. Whether you're a fledgling cheese maker or are simply fascinated with cheese, this class will nourish your appreciation for the complexity of cheese and its craft. Zoe will introduce you to the fundamentals of the cheesemaking process and demystify the transformation of fluid milk to fromage, without getting too geeky about it.
Zoe's understanding of cheese runs deep: she served as the cheese cave maven at Murray's Cheese in NYC and now works with artisan cheese makers and cheesemongers for The Cellars at Jasper Hill in Vermont. We hope you’ll join us for an enriching examination of the marvels of cheese.
When: Friday, October 1st at 7:15pm
Cost: $20 Reservations are required and must be secured with a credit card. Call the shop at 503.284.1157. Class size is limited. Cancellations are refundable up to 24 hours before class. Participants receive a 10% discount on purchases the evening of the class.
