June 18th Tasting: Gru-Vee Wine & Candy

Our Friday tasting will be twice as much fun as usual! Briana Nelson from Columbia Distributing will be here to share three delicious examples of Austria’s singular wine, Grüner Veltliner. If you’re not familiar with this highly enjoyable white, now is a perfect time to learn its many charms. Spicy, juicy, and wonderfully food friendly, Gru-Ve (as it is fondly known in the wine trade) is a great summer white to enjoy on picnics and parties. Briana will be pouring the 2008 Wolfgang Gru-Vee, 2008 Laurenz und Sophie Singing Grüner Veltliner, and the 2005 Laurenz V. Charming Grüner Veltliner.

We’ll also be celebrating the launch of Bees & Beans, a new local candy bar producer. Faith Dionne will be here to share samples of her confections that feature our prized local honeys, berries, hazelnuts and fresh creamery butter. Yum!
