Next Class: Pickles!

Yippee! Summer's here and the markets are bursting with more fresh fruits and veggies than we can possibly eat right now. One terrific way to extend their tasty lives is to pickle them, so you can enjoy them now or later. We're delighted to have Renee Erickson of Seattle's Boat Street Pickles here to discuss pickle making and show you how easy it is to whip up a batch at home. (And if you haven't yet tried out some of her pickles, we have her Boat Street Pickled Raisins, Pickled Figs, and Pickled Red Onions on the shelf -- they are de-lish!) She'll also talk about using pickles to add excitement to all kinds of dishes. Join us and learn how easy (and tasty) it can be to take a simple fruit or vegetable and turn it into a party for your mouth!

Cost: $20. Reservations are required and must be secured with a credit card. Call the shop at 503.284.1157. Class size is limited and fills quickly. Cancellations require 24 hours notice for refund. Participants receive a 10% discount on purchases the evening of the class.
