Calling All DIY Cheesemakers!
July 28, 2008
If you're interested in making cheese at home, and would like to talk with like-minded folks, join our DIY Cheesemakers Group. This is a free, casual meeting for people to share experiences, ideas and resources for making cheese with each other. Whether you're just curious or already have a few wheels under your belt, you'll meet others who enjoy cooking the curds. The group meets monthly on a Wednesday evening and often a member will demonstrate making a particular style of cheese for the group. (We've had demos of panir and chevre to date, and at the August 6th meeting we'll be branching out with a demonstration of artisanal bread and bagel-making by Guy Moore.) And also mark your calendar for the September 17th meeting, when everyone is invited to bring a sample of their own cheese to share for a DIY Cheesemakers Taste-O-Rama! For more information, call the shop at 503.284.1157.
